Lainie Rowell is a professional developer and consultant.She works closely with classroom teachers, principals and district administrators guiding educators to find innovative ways to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning.

Prior to this, Lainie taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 6th grade. In 2002, she took on a role as a site-level professional developer which progressed to a position as a district-level K-12 educational technology coordinator supporting 22,000 students and 1,200 teachers at 33 schools.

Lainie’s client list includes Apple Inc. and Google and she is part of Alan November's November Learning <http://novemberlearning.com/>  team. She is also a presenter at local, regional and international conferences including Building Learning Communities (BLC) <http://novemberlearning.com/blc/> , Macworld <http://macworldexpo.com/> , ISTE <http://www.isteconference.org/>  and the CUE conference <http://www.cue.org/conference/> .

In 2010, Lainie became the Program Coordinator for Leading Edge Certification <http://leadingedgecertification.org/> , a national certification program in educational technology and curriculum innovation created by an Alliance of nonprofits, universities and educational agencies.

Lainie is honored to be an Apple Distinguished Educator <http://www.apple.com/education/ade/> , Google Certified Teacher <http://www.google.com/educators/gta.html> ,Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer <http://www.google.com/a/help/intl/en/edu/trainer_directory.html>  and STAR Discovery Educator <http://community.discoveryeducation.com/> . In 2011, she was elected to Computer-Using Educators' Board of Directors <http://www.cue.org/boardofdirectors/> .

Lainie has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University. She has also earned a Multiple Subject Credential and Master of Arts in Educational Technology from California State University, Long Beach where she is a guest speaker.
