Use Ed Tech K12 Vouchers with CUE

Overview
The Education Technology K-12 Voucher Program resulted from the Settlement Agreement between California consumers and Microsoft Corporation.

The vouchers made available through this Settlement Agreement are to be used to assist districts with implementing and supporting education technology that fosters effective teaching and promotes student achievement in eligible schools that serve students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade.

The Education Technology K-12 Voucher Program is very different from typical state or federal technology grant programs in three main areas:

  1. Fifty percent (50%) of the total voucher award amount may only be used for products and/or services that meet the criteria for General Purpose Vouchers and the remaining fifty percent (50%) may only be used for products that meet the criteria for Specific Category Software Vouchers.
  2. All products and services must be purchased using existing funding. The Lead Education Agency (LEA) then submits the appropriate documentation to the Settlement Claims Administrator (SCA) for reimbursement.
  3. All products and services must meet the conditions of the Settlement Agreement to be eligible for reimbursement.

CUE is an approved Professional Development provider for the California K-12 Ed Tech Voucher Program General Purpose Vouchers. All products and services are platform neutral. Find out if your school is eligible.

* CUE is currently listed as an approved provider of Professional Development for the CA Ed Tech K12 Voucher program. We list the products and services we provide above, but cannot guarantee that the SCA will approve all requests for reimbursement of these activities. We make every effort to provide clear instructions to schools and districts with regards to which products, services and activities are eligible for reimbursement and which are not. For absolute certainty, we recommend that schools and districts contact the SCA (800-419-5286) and verify the eligibility of the product or service. The SCA will provide a unique confirmation number of the communication. That number should be included in the voucher redemption documentation submitted by the district. More information...
