Google Apps Certified Training for EDU Bootcamp

 

CUE has a long history of providing training and support to larger clients, such as school districts or higher-education institutions, and now CUE is one of the inaugural Google Apps EDU Certified Training Organizations. CUE employs dozens of Google Certified Teachers (GCTs) who are also Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers. CUE also draws on the expertise of a broad membership, including many CTOs who have implemented Google Apps in their organizations. In addition, partnerships with Google Apps Certified Resellers make CUE uniquely positioned to provide the ìwhole packageî of professional development and IT implementation services.

• A three-day hands-on workshop includes two days dedicated to the core tools in the Google Apps Suite and one entire day for participants to prepare to take the exams and begin the application process towards becoming a Google Apps Certified Trainer** . This comprehensive training is available for only $525 per participant*. This includes materials, swag, and membership in the Google Workshop for Educators Network. *international events, subject to different pricing.

 

Prices are "all inclusive" of materials, Google SWAG, lead learners, and domestic travel. In addition, all participants who complete one of these training experiences are given access to the Google Workshops for Educators Network (GWEN), an online community focused on supporting educators as they learn more about the power of Google to drive student learning. This network allows participants to extend their learning beyond the day(s) of the workshop.

**Note: Though there is no better preparation for the certification process than these workshops, certification as a Google Apps EDU Qualified Individual is not included in these professional development packages. Workshop participants must study for and complete the qualification tests and applications independently. The six tests cost $15 each (for a total of $90).

 

Facilities

CUE's Google Apps Certified Training for EDU Bootcamp can be hosted at your facility in any of the following four formats:

• Single Lab Option - The workshop is hosted in a single fixed computer lab with Windows, Mac, or Linux computers for all participants (in addition to a projector and screen for the Lead Learners). Capacity depends on the lab, but 20-30 participants is typical.
• Single Room BYOL Option - The workshop is hosted in a single classroom with tables, power strips, and strong wifi (in addition to a projector and screen for the Lead Learners). Participants bring their own laptop. Capacity depends on the room, but 20-30 participants is typical.
• Mutiple Lab Option - The workshop is hosted a facility, such as a school site, with multiple fixed computer labs (each with Windows, Mac, or Linux computers for all participants and a projector & screen for the Lead Learners). A large meeting room, such as a theater or auditorium, where all participants can meet is also ideal.  Participants begin in the large room and then rotate through the labs for "breakout sessions" with specific Lead Learners. Capacity of 50-150 participants is typical, but larger events are also possible.
• Multiple Room BYOL Option - The workshop is hosted in a facility with one large meeting room, such as a theater or auditorium, and several smaller classrooms with tables, power strips, and strong wifi (in addition to a projector and screen for the Lead Learners).  Participants bring their own laptop and then rotate between the large room and the smaller classrooms for "breakout sessions" with specific Lead Learners. Capacity of 50-150 participants is typical, but larger events are also possible.
